Why you should consider using reusable products during the pandemic

Despite being in a difficult moment like this, we can at least say one silver lining of the pandemic is an improvement of the environment that we live in. Now that most of us are staying at home, there is no better time for us to consider using reusable products to further help the environment. Here is why:

1. The impact of the pandemic to the environment is good, but limited

According to United Nations, fossil fuel use would have to decline by about 10 percent around the world, and would need to be sustained for a year to show up clearly in carbon dioxide levels. The pandemic has slowed the fossil fuel consumptions, but it is only temporary. So it is down to us to make the impact more sustainable, using reusable products would be a welcome start.

2. You can save trips to the supermarket, how cool is that?

Using reusable products means fewer trips to the supermarkets to replace the stuff that you need, and that means lower chance to transmit the disease around. 

3. Now is the time you can finally relax and practice good habits

Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to adopt reusable products when we were busy. As many of us now suddenly have more time that we can think of how to use it, why not learn more about the lifestyle that involves using reusable products and make it a lasting habit.

¿Por qué debería considerar el uso de productos reutilizables durante esta pandemia?

A pesar de estar en un momento difícil como este, al menos podemos decir que un lado positivo de la pandemia es la mejora del medio ambiente en el que vivimos. Ahora que la mayoría nos quedamos en casa, es el mejor momento para considerar utilizar productos reutilizables para ayudar aún más al medio ambiente. Aquí te dejamos el porqué:

1. El impacto de la pandemia al medio ambiente tiene un lado positivo, hasta cierto punto.

Según las Naciones Unidas, el uso de combustibles fósiles tendría que disminuir en aproximadamente un 10 por ciento en todo el mundo, y necesitaría mantenerse durante un año para aparecer claramente en los niveles de dióxido de carbono. La pandemia ha frenado el consumo de combustibles fósiles, pero es solo temporal. Por lo tanto, depende de nosotros hacer que el impacto sea más sostenible, el uso de productos reutilizables sería un buen comienzo.
